The City of Starlight

Inspired by the series of novels by Sarah J. Maas, A Court of Thorns and Roses, this piece represents the artist's interpretation of the City of Velaris.
A rich violet night sky full of bright specks of stars, shooting stars, and a bright misty moon, overlooks a contrasting mountain-scape. Tones of lavender and a slightly soft yellow coat the mountains as snow, harsh ridge lines dictating a handful of varying peaks. Some tall dark pines peer through a lavender hazy mist, and underneath nestles the City of Starlight, Velaris.
This piece is 8x8x1 inches on Masonite board. Varnished in high liquitex, edged with Mars black, and picture hanging wire installed for convenient displaying.
Special Instructions - As with all indoor artworks avoid exposure to direct sunlight. Dust with a lint-free/microfiber cloth. Remove smudges gently with a clean dry lint-free cloth. Handle with form-fitting nitrile gloves. When not on display, store wrapped in archival quality glassine.
